What’s a ReStore and why is it important?
The Summit County Restore is a retail outlet that sells gently used and surplus furniture, appliances and home accessories that have been donated.
The ReStore’s primary purpose is to provide funding for building Habitat Houses.
Because the ReStore is run by volunteers, our costs are low and that enables us to make a substantial contribution to the building fund. In addition, donations to the ReStore are generally tax-deductible for the donor.
Shopping at a ReStore is a combines treasure hunting and bargain seeking in a friendly atmosphere. The inventory constantly changes and you’ll never know what’s available until you stop by.
Using a ReStore for donating or purchasing, also helps to reduce the amount of material that enters our landfills.
The Summit Habitat for Humanity ReStore is open Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 5PM. The new location is 131 Blue River Parkway in Silverthorne – at the Silverthorn westbound entrance to I-70. You can reach the ReStore at 970-423-7445 during store hours if you have any questions about a donation, or you can send them an e-mail at info@summitcountyhabitat.org.
